Wow, the joy, the elation, happiness and excitement - there are no adequate adjectives to use for this experience! We were on the phone for about 4 straight hours after the referral, crying, laughing and all the while staring at the beautiful face of our daughter as we talked to people. My friends Tricie & Robyne who I pretty much get together with every week, and have done for about the past 13-14 years were so excited for us that we went over to Tricie's house and they threw us a lovely little celebration with "It's a girl" balloon, cake and cards - these girls have shared a long journey with us and it felt so good to reach this moment together. Tricie's husband made margaritas and the five of us and Tricie's girls hung out until late. In the meantime, on the way there we stopped to print a gazillion photos of our daughter and on the way home stopped to pick up more! When we got home we started making more calls to California so that David could talk to his brothers. We want to tell the world - we are so happy and now we just cannot wait to hold her in our arms.
