It's the day before we leave!

Well, let's see, we're behind in pretty much everything, packing, posting on the website, finishing work, tidying the house, but who cares, because somehow, by tomorrow, we'll have finished these things and will be on our way to China, one step closer to our "Gotcha Day"! We have been very busy the past two weekends and have had a lot of fun and also been very productive. This past weekend we saw the families from our adoption group who we'll be traveling with and it was so great to say "see you in Beijing". Ellen made Indigo this beautiful "taggie" with her name. On Sunday, Father's day we went to brunch and David received cards and t-shirts with Indigo's picture, another with the Chinese for daddy and another saying "Jiangxi Dad". That afternoon we went to our friend Patricia's for a lovely Father's Day b-b-que. It was a lovely afternoon that ended at about 11 p.m! I am also posting some photos of the packing as it looked on Saturday night - we were up until 12:30 a.m. working on the packing stuff. Hopefully, either late tonight, or before leaving tomorrow, I'll be posting a photo of bags neatly packed! Also, going back to Memorial Day, I am posting a photo of the two grandmother's in their grandmother t-shirts - my mom and David's mom. We know that technically the characters of grandmother should be different for each of them - reflecting paternal grandmother and maternal grandmother - but these were the t-shirts we could get. Last night our friends Wendy & Skip came over and brought us a lovely picnic dinner and gave us what I have determined to be "the prettiest wrapped gift" Hope to have one final post before China, but if not, if technology does not fail - we'll be posting from there. Finally, one last cute shot of Egan - taking up my space in the bed. Bless his heart - he has no idea what's about to happen!

Dear David & Melanie,

Thank you for sharing this wonderful moment of your life with all of us. It is so interesting. I bought my friends baby a taggie blanket & Isabelle just loves it! They also have taggie hats & shoes. I cannot wait to see the pictures when you both are finally holding Indigo! Cassa Jo
