Los Angeles continued... from first weekend of June

We are rather behind on updating the website and were excited to post about our travel so we did that ahead of continuing with LA. However, we had such a fun time in LA seeing friends and family. On Saturday morning we had a lovely brunch at the home of our friend Sabina and got to meet the guy she is dating - we had a lot of fun and laughs.

Later that day we went to the wedding of our friends Francoise and Jeff. The wedding took place at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. The venue was gorgeous and the wedding was beautiful. We enjoyed seeing some people who we had not seen for a long time. The bride was stunning and the groom glowing with happiness. We danced the horah and celebrated until about 1 a.m. Upon leaving, David was paying for the valet parking and saw Paris Hilton! It was the last Saturday night before her first stint in jail. While waiting for our car she came out of the hotel and got into the back of a vehicle - it was so LA!

On Sunday, we got up at 6 a.m. and drove down to Moreno Valley so that we could see David's family. We enjoyed seeing all the landscape work that David's brother Ken, and his wife, Dina have done - very impressive. We had a lovely brunch together and then David and I drove back up to LA - we took a slight detour when we realized that we were in the desert - headed to Barstow! Back in LA, our friends Lisa, Tim and their darling daughter Kiki arrived. We had a wonderful time hanging out. Lisa is my roommate from college and her & Tim were together back then so we go back a long time. We swam, took Kiki to the park, and just had fun. They stayed until Monday night, where we all had dinner with friends before they left to drive back to San Luis Obispo. Later that night, David's mom came home from her trip and we stayed up til the wee hours of the morning chatting. We flew home on June the 5th - which was the day we found out the date of our consulate appointments and went into high travel planning mode. It was a wonderful mini vacation.
