Hallelujah - made it to April!

Whew - catching up is tough but I am determined to get there and get in the milestone events of one year from referral, her birthday and then the biggie - one year since Gotcha Day.
Mom was with us in the beginning of April and still helping out in a major way. We enjoyed another lovely sunny day picnic at one of the beaches on the lake with Ellen and Sarah. Sarah now also calls Mom "Granny". David enjoyed an evening walk to the garden with "his girl" and took some cute photos of her. Mom, Indigo and I also went to visit Elizabeth (Indigo's babysitter) to see her and her new beautiful baby boy. While Elizabeth has been on leave, her lovely sister Maia has been caring for Indigo and the transition went very well - Maia was coming with Elizabeth during her last few weeks so Indigo already was very comfortable with her. Dad came back from his week working in Harrisburg and enjoyed having his granddaughter on his lap again before heading back to Myrtle Beach. They took our cat Sparkle with them to look after her as we were going to be leaving for California. On the weekend we had a terrific time (if a bit cold and rainy) at the birthday party of our friend Susan's twins, Emma and Lillian. They were two and the party was at this delightful farm where the kids could pet and feed the animals and we did a hayride etc.
