With Mom still here, we enjoyed another lovely picnic with Sarah and Ellen. The girls first played at the house and loved playing on the Dora car together. After that we headed to Beach 5 for a picnic lunch. The girls enjoyed running on the grass, kicking a ball on the beach and then also had a lot of fun playing at the lake edge on the beach, putting sticks in the water. Granny spent a lot of time retrieving sticks. On the weekend, Granddaddy came (he had been working in PA during the week). We took a drive to Huntley Meadows which is one of our favorite county wildlife refuge parks. It has a super boardwalk through natural wetlands and we always see good birds. This time we saw a neat frog and cool turtles. We had a picnic lunch watching all the birds coming to the feeders they have out at the visitor center. It was a lovely family outing.
During the week, our friend Tiffany came over for dinner - Mom/Granny cooked a yummy Shepherd's pie of which Indigo had three helpings! Tiffany had bought Indigo her own special cupcake which she loved.
