On February 28th I had shoulder surgery. I had somehow managed to tear my labrum which resulted in my shoulder continually partially dislocating. I had been doing PT for a month to strengthen prior surgery and then went in for arthroscopic surgery on an out patient basis. I thought it would be no big deal but boy was I wrong. The surgery was about 1 1/2 hours and David and Indigo waited for me. We came home and I was just in excruciating agony - way worse than I had expected. I also don't do well with anesthesia and so, despite the fact that they gave me something called "happy tummy" in my iv, I ended up being sick as a dog. Fortunately, by Saturday my mom was able to come to help us which was a good thing because poor David was exhausted from his two days of caring for Indigo, me and the pets. I really could not do a thing - not to help and not for myself. It was awful and continued to be for quite some time. Anyway, while I recovered, we had my mom here for three weeks and we really appreciate all that she did to help us. On an early day of convalescence Tricie came over with her girls and helped entertain Indigo a while by reading to her - David, on other hand, entertained me with his gymnastics of having Indigo fly up in the air on his legs.

So glad you have moved past that awful time!! I hated seeing you in so much pain. I am sure David and Indigo kept you quite entertained with their gymnastics and dancing!!
Love, Ellen
So sorry you had such a rough time. I wish we had known at the time, we would have loved to help.
Looks like David and Indigo had a great time trying to keep you entertained.
